Research Interests
Metaphysics
My recent work has focused on the question: what makes for unity, sameness, and wholeness? I have also published widely on mereology (the formal theory of parthood and composition) and identity. This interest extends into related questions in ontology, topology, and modality.
Philosophical Logic
My work centers on the nature of truth and logical consequence. A key question is whether truth (and logical consequence) have one nature or many or perhaps even none. I have published on truth pluralism, logical nihilism, and the semantic paradoxes.
Philosophy of Religion
My work mostly focuses on how concepts of God interact with a variety issues in metaphysics and philosophical logic. I have published recently on divine simplicity, omnipresence, and the role of logic in theology.
